Will dental implants work for me?
The only way to determine if implants are right for you is to schedule a consultation with Dr. Trilli to identify whether you have adequate bone and health gums to support the implant.
What does an implant procedure involve?
The dental implant procedures typically take a total of 6-7 months to complete all stages. It begins with a titanium rod being placed where the previous natural tooth root once was. The gum is sutured over the implant, where it will stay for 4-6 months as the bone fuses around the implant. IN some cases, the patient may need grafting material placed to help secure the implant. A removeable temporary tooth or teeth can be made to place over the implant during healing. This procedure can take 1-2 hours to complete with local anesthetics. Oral sedation is an option to help patients with clinical anxiety feel more relaxed during the surgery.
How will I feel after the implant is placed?
It is normal to have some discomfort; however pain should be manageable over the country medication. In some cases pain medication may be prescribed by Dr.Trilli.
